THE PLAN!
(Putting our future in the right path.)

TEXT:JEREMIAH 29:11-14

We are all concern of our future. That is the reason why out of curiosity people are resorting to any ways just to find out what lies ahead of them. But for the people of God, we shouldn’t be resorting to any belief or occult thing that this world is offering. We can be sure of our future because it all lies in the hand of the Master Planner.

I.     GOD IS THE MASTER PLANNER OF OUR LIVES.

We can decide to plan our future all by ourselves, but how sure are we that that plan will be the best plan for us? Why do we need to gamble for our future if we can hand it over to the One who knows us best? (Jeremiah 29:11a)

     A.  He knows us more than we know ourselves. (Psalm 139:1-4)

     B.  He created us. (Psalm 139:5-6, 13-14)

     C.  He is wiser than us. (Psalm 139:6; Isaiah 55:9)

II.     WHAT KIND OF PLAN DOES HE HAVE?

God is not only concerned with our spiritual life alone, although this is the most important thing that we need. He is concerned in all aspects of our lives. God cares about the totality of our need.

     A.  Plan of Prosperity. (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

     B.  Plan of Security and Protection. (Isaiah 41:10-13)

     C.  Plan of Assurance of:
          a.Answers to Prayers (Jeremiah 33:3)
          b.Forgiveness (1 John 1:9)
          c.His Presence (Matthew 28:20b)

     D.  Plan of Secured Relationship. (Jeremiah 29:13-14; John 1:12)

     E.  Plan of Sure Destination - Heaven! (Revelation 21:1-4)

III.     WHAT SHALL WE DO?

     A.  Seek Him. (Jeremiah 29:13; Psalm 25:9)
Ask God for the right direction. As He promised, we will find Him and give us direction if we’ll seek    Him

     B.  Listen to Him. (Jeremiah 29:14; Proverbs 1:5; 8:33-35)
It is not enough to seek Him for direction but we need to carefully listen to His instruction. To listen is       to understand fully. Do not be too hasty in doing things without understanding the whole instruction given you.

     C.  Obey Him. (1 John 2:3-5)
Seeking and listening should have a conclusion. And it is best concluded by obeying to the letter what God says. Delayed obedience in not obedience at all. Doing this signifies our submission to His authority in our lives.

IV.     WHAT IF WE DID NOT?

     A.  We’ll be at lost.

     B.  We’ll never hear His direction.

     C.  Our life will be full of chaos. (Deuteronomy 28:15-68)

V.     THE CHALLENGE!

A wise person will not put his life and his future in jeopardy. Instead, he’ll make it sure that everything will be taken cared of and be able to see the plan of his life in a better situation.

If this is the case, there is only one option that we can do to be sure for our plans especially as we start this year. Seek God, Obey God, and Let God!

There is hope for you… Be blessed!
